Pull over and stop the vehicle safely and switch off the engine,

paying attention to road and traffic conditions.

Secure the vehicle against rolling away (Y page 178).

Consult a qualified specialist workshop.

The engine is switched off and the battery charge level is too low.

Switch off electrical consumers that you do not need, such as

the rear window defroster and interior lighting.

Leave the engine running for a few minutes or drive a long dis-

tance.

The battery is being charged.

Check Engine OilCheck Engine Oil

At Next RefuelingAt Next Refueling

The engine oil level has dropped to the minimum level.

A warning tone also sounds.

Check the oil level when next refueling, at the latest

(Y page 307).

If necessary, add engine oil (Y page 308).

Have the engine checked at a qualified specialist workshop if

engine oil needs to be added more often than usual.

Avoid long journeys with too little engine oil. The engine will

otherwise be damaged.

Fuel Level LowFuel Level Low

The fuel level has dropped into the reserve range.

Refuel at the nearest gas station.
