Activating the 360° camera using the

SYS button

Press the W button in the center con-

sole for longer than 2 seconds.

Depending on whether position D or R is

engaged, the following is shown:

full screen display with the image from

the front camera

full screen display with the image from

the rear view camera

Activating the 360° camera with

COMAND

Press the W button in the center con-

sole.

Select SystemSystem using the 3 COMAND

controller and press 7 to confirm.

Select 360° Camera360° Camera and press 7 to con-

firm.

Depending on whether position D or R is

engaged, the following is shown:

a split screen with top view and the

image from the front camera or

a split screen with top view and the

image from the rear view camera

Activating the 360° camera using

reverse gear

The 360° camera images can be automati-

cally displayed by engaging reverse gear.

Make sure that the SmartKey is in position

2 in the ignition lock.

Make sure that the Activation by RActivation by R

geargear function is selected in COMAND/

Audio 20, see the separate COMAND/

Audio 20 operating instructions.

To show the 360° camera image: engage

reverse gear.

The area behind the vehicle is shown in the

COMAND/Audio 20 display in split-screen

mode. You see the top view of the vehicle

and the image from the rear view camera.

screen displays

Switching between split screen views

To switch to the line with the vehicle icons:

slide 5 the controller.

To select one of the vehicle icons: turn

3 the controller.

To switch to full screen mode: select

Full ScreenFull Screen by turning 3 the control-

ler and press 7 to confirm.

The Full ScreenFull Screen option is only available

in the following views:

Top view with picture from the rear view

camera

Top view with picture from the front cam-

era

Displays in the COMAND/Audio 20 dis-

play

Important safety notes

The camera system may show a distorted

view of obstacles, show them incorrectly or

not at all. Obstacles are not shown by the

system in the following locations:

under the front and rear bumpers

very close to the front and rear bumpers

in close range above the handle on the

trunk lid

very close to the exterior mirrors

in the transitional areas between the vari-

ous cameras in the virtual top view
