Convenience features
SUNROOF
Every S-Class comes standard with a power
glass sunroof that tilts for ventilation or
fully retracts into the roof.
• Made of deep-tinted heat-reflecting glass
• Manually retractable sunshade can block
direct sunlight when roof is closed.
• Express-open/close feature allows one-
touch operation.
Includes obstruction sensor
Memory function recalls the last open
sunroof position used, and returns
directly to this position when the driver
uses the express-open feature.
• Can be opened remotely with SmartKey

POWER REAR-WINDOW SUNSHADE
A fine mesh screen inside the cabin can
be raised or lowered to help reduce glare
through the rear window.
S 350: part of optional Rear Seat Package
• Standard on all other S-Class models
• Operated by a switch in center of dash
• Includes one-touch express-up/down
helps shield rear seat area from direct
sunlight without significantly compromising
rearward vision
helps keep cabin cooler on sunny days
CENTRAL LOCKING
All four doors, the trunk lid and the fuel filler
door can be locked or unlocked via switches
on the center dash panel.
Unlocking the driver’s door via the lock
knob on the door or by opening the
door also unlocks the fuel filler door.
• The driveaway locking feature can be
programmed via the multifunction display
to automatically lock the doors when the
car reaches 9 mph.

compatible garage door openers
and security gates can be operated by a
programmable 3-button control integrated
into the rearview mirror housing.

POWER WINDOWS
Power windows in every door are operated
by a master control panel on the driver’s
door, or by individual switches on each door.
Express-up/down feature fully opens or
closes a window with a single push on
the window button (past the detent).
Obstruction sensor reverses a rising
window if an obstruction is detected
during express-up operation.
SmartKey can remotely operate windows.

REMOTE TRUNK OPENER
Pressing the trunk opener button on the
driver’s door for 1.5 seconds opens the
trunk lid when the vehicle is stationary.
AUTO-DIMMING REARVIEW MIRROR
Dual sensors on the inside mirror compare
the light in front of the car and entering
from behind the car, and darken the inside
and left-side mirrors gradually via an
electrochromic film behind the mirror lens.
Standard on all models
• Incorporates dual map reading lamps
reduces reflected glare of the headlamps of
following vehicles
enhances driver comfort, nighttime vision
and safety
• Auto-dimming feature is cancelled
automatically if driver shifts to Reverse
or an interior lamp is switched on.

CRUISE CONTROL

Soft environmental comfort lighting
provides a gentle glow to front and rear
footwells, all door handles and the console.
Amber LEDs provide gentle illumination.

12-VOLT POWER OUTLETS

TRIP COMPUTER
