Aerodynamics
COEFFICIENT OF DRAG
Extensive wind-tunnel testing helped the
S-Class achieve its favorable aerodynamics
characteristics.
• Low 0.27 coefficient of drag (Cd):
low wind noise
optimum fuel efficiency
enhanced stability at highway speeds
WATER MANAGEMENT
Extensive measures were taken to manage
the flow of water while driving in the rain.
• Deep channels in the A-pillars direct
water onto the roof, while channels on
the roof guide water to the rear.
• Water tends to flow rearward, around the
rear window and off the body.
• Exterior mirrors help divert water away
from the front side windows.
helps maintain optimal driver vision
through all windows
Rear 3/4 features
