Automatic Tailgate*

Opening: Press button

on driver’s door, key or

release handle on tailgate

Closing: Press button (1) on underside

of tailgate, closing can be stopped

in any position

Tip: Automatic tailgate stop can

be activated via setting function

in multifunction display

Tailgate travel automatically is

interrupted if contact is made

with any obstructing items

To fold down: Pull locking handles

(1), fold backrests forward

To fold up: Raise backrests to

locked position

Tip: Passenger side must be lowered

ﬁrst because of attachment of

shade and net to 60% (driver-side)

portion of seatback

Third row seat

To open: Press down on rear

(ridged) portion of forward latch (2),

place ﬁngers in latch opening, lift

seatback up and rotate forward

Repeat procedure on rear latch

(3), then lift cushion up and

rotate forward

(auxiliary power point)
